Established in 2007, Simply Feet is a store dedicated to solving foot, leg, and back problems. With over two decades of experience, we have spent the last 16+ years fine-tuning our in-depth foot evaluations in order to educate the customers and design and fabricate our custom-made-orthotics. Our custom orthotics are made in-house and designed to reestablish proper foot biomechanics, body alignment, and proper weight distribution in order to solve problems with your feet, which in turn help out your whole body feel better. What Are Custom Orthotics?

Orthotics (also known as orthotic insoles, shoe inserts, or orthoses) are devices placed inside the shoes with the purpose of restoring our natural foot function. This is necessary when the natural biomechanical balance of our lower body has been disrupted by over-pronation.

Many common complaints such as heel pain, knee pain, and lower back pain are caused by poor foot biomechanics. Biomechanics is the science that studies the body’s movements during walking, running, and sports.

The most common form of bad foot biomechanics is over-pronation, which is the dropping of the arches and rolling inwards of the feet and ankles and affects an estimated 70% of the population.

Orthotic insoles correct over-pronation and realign the foot and ankle bones to their neutral position, restoring natural foot function. In turn, this will help alleviate problems not only in the feet, but also in other parts of the body, such as the knees, hips, and lower back.

Why Do We Need Custom Orthotics?
It is estimated that 70% of the population suffers from a condition called over-pronation due to flat feet or fallen arches. This condition presents itself in varying degrees of severity, with some people over-pronating more than others. The fact that so many of us suffer from over-pronation due to fallen arches can be contributed to the hard, flat surfaces we walk on daily. Other factors that play a role include: age, weak ligaments, and excess body weight. As a result, over-pronation is much more prevalent in people in their fifties and older, and also in overweight persons.
How Are Custom Orthotics Different From Regular Shoe Insoles?
There’s a significant difference between regular insoles and orthotics. Regular insoles are purely designed to provide a cushioning effect and shock absorption. They may feel comfortable at first, however, they do not address any biomechanical problems, i.e. they are not designed to correct over-pronation. On the other hand, orthotics are a functional device, designed to correct and optimize our foot function. Some insoles also feature arch support, however, they tend to be mostly made of soft materials. As a result, the support they provide is often too weak to have any effect.
How exactly do orthotics work?
First of all, orthotics do a lot more than merely support the arches. Orthotics realign the feet and ankles and restore deficient foot function. In addition, orthotics enable a more even weight distribution, taking pressure off sore spots (e.g. the heels, the ball of the foot, corns in between toes, and bunions). They also provide some degree of shock absorption, but this is not their main purpose. The main purpose of an orthotic insole is to improve foot function, in many cases reducing pain and preventing serious problems and injuries in the future.
How much do Orthotics and Supports cost?
We offer our Orthotic/Pedorthic Therapy Program, which includes evaluation, education, fabrication, dispensing and one full year of follow up for adjustments, for only $450
How long do Orthotics last?
2-4 years. By then the orthotics and supports begin to break down or your feet change, and orthotics should be remade and replaced for optimum results. Patients have different activity levels among other factors that cause the orthotics to wear down losing cushion and support.
Are you qualified to offer such a specialized service?
Yes. Our founder Anthony Allen is a Board Certified Pedorthist with over 2 Decades of experience helping 10,000′s of local customers and patients, as well as those who come from out of town and other states, obtain the comfort and pain-free results they were looking for by correcting the problems with his Custom-Made Orthotics as well as being educated on the problem and creating a plan that will give the best chance of creating a supportive and pain-free situation for the customer or patient.
Should I see a Doctor first before I come to you for an evaluation and fitting?
As we are not Medical Doctors we do not diagnose, prescribe nor offer surgical procedures. If you feel you are in need of a medical diagnosis it is recommended that you see a licensed physician. If you have had recent surgery, are a diabetic, or have insensate feet it is our recommendation that you inform your doctor and obtain his/her approval before ordering our products.
Do you offer any Discounts or Special Offers?
Yes. If a customer wants to get 2 programs, Orthotic/Pedorthic Therapy Program for footwear that has full length insoles and Orthotic/Pedorthic Therapy Program for sandals or dress footwear, the cost will be reduced to $700 for both programs ($200 savings), if a patient or customer wants an additional Orthotic/Pedorthic Therapy Program for other footwear, you get $100 off within a year from the day of dispensing for extra programs, the cost is $350 ($100 savings). After one year the price goes back to the original cost of $450 per program and $700 for both programs.
How long is the process to get a pair of Custom-Made Orthotics?
The first step is setting up an appointment for an evaluation. The evaluation process typically takes about 30-40 minutes and includes measurements of foot size, static-gait (standing) analysis, pedograph (pressure-mapped footprints to check weight-distribution, hot sports, alignment, and arch definition), making an impression of the foot for plaster cast, and education with questions and answers. After purchase, it will take approximately 2-5 days to fabricate. The day of pick up (dispensing) will take anywhere from 15-30 minutes to make the final trimmings and make sure the orthotics are cut to your footwear for that perfect fit.
What do I need to have available for our first visit?
It’s best to have a few styles of your current footwear so that the Pedorthist knows how to make the orthotics with the proper design to give comfort and relief. If you have current or past orthotics, please have those available as well so that the Pedorthist considers necessary support that you may have gotten used to or that you need for past or current problems.
What is a Pedorthic Therapy Program and why is it good to have?
Orthotic/Pedorthic Therapy Program Includes consultation/evaluation, patient education, pedograph analysis, static gait analysis, discrepancy evaluation, casting/making plaster foot molds, fabrication, dispensing, footwear adjustments and/or modifications and 1 year of follow up care visits to adjust for comfort and support as needed. Also, if adjustments cannot be made to solve a problem, the orthotics will be remade with different materials or design to solve this problem. Its normal to have a follow up appointment to fine tune the program to give the patient or customer the best chance of comfort and pain relief. Having a one-year program gives you peace of mind that you’re buying a good outcome and solution to your problems. Very often what you start with is modified or adjusted and you end up with a situation that will be custom tailored to your problems, giving an extremely high chance of being pain free and more comfortable. We’ve found that the follow up care we provide is the best way to ensure success.


After one year of the Orthotic/Pedorthic Therapy Program(s) has passed, there is a $25 fee for appointments to adjustment Customer Made Orthotics, footwear, arch supports, braces. There is no charge for appointments/consultations to assess the health of the orthotics for wear and tear or breakdown of support and footwear adjustments.
